…for the clown show and all the great B-roll last night — footage I’m sure MSNBC will make good use of tonight.
(Psst. Most of your constituents have no idea what C-SPAN is).

Tiger Woods, says Frank Rich in today’s NYTimes, explaining:
“The obvious person of the year is Tiger Woods. His sham beatific image, questioned by almost no one until it collapsed, is nothing if not the farcical reductio ad absurdum of the decade’s flimflams, from the cancerous (the subprime mortgage) to the inane (balloon boy).”
Sen. Byron Dorgan, one of the Senate’s good guys, told MSNBC’s Ed Schultz that a lot of Senators had caved to pharma and insurance in the past week, and that helped beat his drug-importation bill.
Dorgan: “My father always told me, ‘Don’t buy anything from a guy who’s broken a sweat.’”
Gail Collins has this in her NYT column:
“My favorite explanation comes from Jonathan Chait of The New Republic, who theorized that Lieberman was able to go from Guy Who Wants to Expand Medicare to Guy Who Would Rather Kill Health Care Than Expand Medicare because he “isn’t actually all that smart.”
God knows Droopy Dog Joe is an easy enough target for trying to screw up health care. But how about Ben Nelson or Blanche Lincoln or several other Dems?
And, lest we forget — those 40 Republicans in the Jesse “Senator No” Helms mold?
Let’s toss these insurance-company whores out, too. They’re as pathetic as Lieberman, the entire lot.
well, the most fitting, anyway. Look at back left:

But it’s actually Homer Simpson:
“English? Who needs that? I’m never going to England!”
