That would make sense that Newscorp has a hand in this. I am curious as to how much Rupert Murdoch controls US politics.
For example, our bugaboo, DC v Heller was funded by the Cato Foundation, which receives funds from Newscorp and Koch Industries. Might that explain the bizarre result in the case from a Judge who is quoted as saying:
“If the courts are free to write the Constitution anew, they will write it the way the majority wants; the appointment and confirmation process will see to that. This, of course, is the end of the Bill of Rights, whose meaning will be committed to the very body it was meant to protect against: the majority.”
