Maybe 13’s Too Old…

What did we learn from all the GOP cheering when Chicago (and Obama) lost the Olympics last week? NYTimes columnist Paul Krugman put his finger on it in his latest dead-on column:

“For one thing, we learned that the modern conservative movement, which dominates the modern Republican Party, has the emotional maturity of a bratty 13-year-old.”

This temper tantrum has been going on since November. Poor babies!

Krugman also mentions a word Democrats have been far too loathe to use about the GOP, but which fits perfectly — radicals:

The key point is that ever since the Reagan years, the Republican Party has been dominated by radicals — ideologues and/or apparatchiks who, at a fundamental level, do not accept anyone else’s right to govern.”
