Dick Cheney? That’s All You Got?

The disgraced ex-Veep came out of hiding, and was standing by to deliver a speech the minute President Obama finished his speech on terrorism.
Sadly, MSNBC and CNN couldn’t resist carrying it.
Cheney won’t go away, precisely because of cable news networks giving his paranoid blatherings air time.
What, was Glenn Beck already booked?
Even “Henry Hill” (Keith Olbermann’s [...]

Could We Please look Forward Now?

The Washington Post’s E.J. Dionne has it exactly right in his column today. The Democrats are too busy looking in the rear-view mirror and fighting culture wars to appreciate what’s most important:
“President Obama’s lieutenants would love it if all the networks ran a crawl line at the bottom of the screen during news broadcasts that [...]

How About Locking OUT Sen. Reid?

Or, as HuffPost blogger Bob Cesca calls him in an excellent piece on the Gitmo fiasco, “Droopy Dog.”
For anything to change, Reid has to go. The Dems need strong leadership, not this clown. Check out Reid’s absurd, bizarre argument against keeping the prisoners in the U.S. in Cesca’s piece.

The Gitmo “Brainiac”

NIMBY Mania

Everyone in the Democratic Party, it seems, wanted Pres. Obama to close Gitmo.
Then when he does, they don’t want these guys in their “criminal-free” districts — even though many of them already have prisons with hardened criminals. So they vote against funds to keep these guys.
Congress is a real piece of work, isn’t it?
Jon Stewart [...]

Need A Good Laugh?

Check out the GOP’s ludicrous,  private-plan-free health-care plan, due to be introduced tomorrow.
One of the co-sponsors is Okie Sen. “Roadburn” Coburn — yes, the same genius who attached the much-mocked rider allowing concealed weapons in the National Parks to the…credit card bill.
Having gone to high school and college in that state, all I can say [...]

South Dakota Goes South

Sen. John “Can’t Carry A” Thune and Sen. Tim Johnson (the only Democrat who voted against it) opposed the credit-card bill.
Of the five senators sympathetic to card lenders, two were from South Dakota, where thousands of jobs depend on the industry. Thune estimated the bill would cost as many as 5,000 jobs in his home [...]

Just Can’t Get Enough Butt-Kissing, Can They?

A Democratic Congressman from California told Rachel Maddow on MSNBC that the reason the House voted against supplying money to take care of the detainees who’ll be taken out of Gitmo is because “we want to be consulted.”
Hey, you morons…consult THIS!
(Insert your own lewd gesture here).

Fetal Mania!

Money’s Swearing, Not Talking (As Usual)

The Senate passed the credit-card bill — with no rate cap — today 90-10.
Which makes it likelier the banks will now start screwing their best customers (see previous post).
KIRO Radio talk host  Dave Ross in Seattle — he’s  also heard nationally as a CBS commentator — did a whole show on this today. What will [...]
