Just when you think right-wing Congresspeople can go no lower, there’s usually a special case, one singled out by “Big Ed” Schultz for the “Psycho Talk” of his MSNBC show.
N.C. Rep. Virginia Foxx, with a face not unlike a clenched fist, testified during a debate on the Matthew Shepard hate-crime bill that the murder of the Wyoming teen was a “hoax.” This battle ax later called it a “poor choice of words.”
Foxx said Shepard was killed during a robbery.
“We know that young man was killed in the commitment of a robbery. It wasn’t because he was gay,” Foxx said during debate. “The bill was named for him, the hate-crimes bill was named for him, but it’s really a hoax that continues to be used as an excuse for passing these bills.”
You have to wonder who would vote for hate-spewing lowlifes like Foxx. Actually, I do know: The speech was obviously meant for Cleetus and his crew down at the lube rack in Mount Airy.
