Sen. Jim “Out of It” Inhofe (R-Okla.) said Wednesday that Sen. Arlen Specter’s defection from the Republican Party is “the first visible evidence” that the GOP will crush the Democrats in the upcoming 2010 midterm elections.
Inhofe, in an interview with — who else? — Fox News, agreed with South Carolina Republican Sen. Jim “I Ate” DeMint’s comment that Specter’s joining the Democrats and giving them 60 seats in the Senate is the “best thing” for Republicans because it will cause a popular backlash similar to the one that brought Republicans to power in 1994.
If brains were electricity, it’s a good bet that Inhofe and DeMint could both safely store dynamite in their offices.
